Vice President, Sales
Touré Claiborne joined SMS Assist in June 2017 and serves as vice president of Sales.
Prior to SMS Assist, Touré served as chief executive officer of Acility and operating partner of APC Holdings, the primary shareholder of Acility.
Previously, Touré founded and served as managing partner of Kearney Park Investments, a private investment and consulting company that specializes in advising early stage and middle market companies as well as venture capital and private equity firms on business and marketing services investments.
At Allstate, he drove the business development strategy among multicultural consumer segments spanning across the marketing, sales, diversity, human resources, finance and legal functions. Throughout his tenure at Sears Holdings, DDB, and the sports management firm Octagon, Touré served in various senior marketing and management positions, where he developed strategic partnerships, entertainment and lifestyle programs on behalf of major brands and professional athletes.
Touré has served on NASCAR’s diversity council and was also a board member of the Philadelphia based Urban Youth Racing School. Most notably, he was named to the Black Enterprise Magazine Hot List as one of the extraordinary professionals under the age of 40 who transformed American business using innovative practices. He was also named to Diversity MBA Magazine’s list of Top 100 under 50.
Active in his local community, Touré serves on the board of directors for the NorthShore University Health System. He has also been a member of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Board of Visitors.
Touré earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of North Carolina and an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
